Therapy/Counseling with Monique

For over 30 years I have been working with the mind/body connection concluding that to find health and balance, body and mind often do better being addressed together. People are complicated and while everything on the outside may look fine, on the inside a whole other reality may be playing out. Life itself is complex… events and transitions, including those we plan and those that come out of nowhere like a freight train, can introduce hurdles, challenges and hardships. Being thrown off balance like this can leave us feeling lost, bewildered, experiencing physical tension and emotional vulnerability, disconnection from our body, our sense of self and what we truly want or need.

Whatever brings you to my office (stepping into a new life, divorce or relational difficulties, financial hardship, trouble with sleep, stress and anxiety, old unhelpful patterns re-emerging, lack of confidence, loss and grief or other issues), will be explored with respect, open-mindedness and empathy. We will explore your way forward by talking together, through a hands on approach of therapeutic touch, writing, drawing and other modalities that assist in getting to deeper layers of awareness and understanding. Client feedback describe me as insightful, having a gentle, attentive presence that supports, questions and responds with  integrity.
